Package inclusive of:
Airport Meeting Service, Relevant Land / Bost Transfer, All meals & Free flow of coffee / tea with light snack, Twin sharing accommodation at Mataking Island with air-conditioning, hot shower with fresh water, attached bathroom with private sundeck / balcony.

Terms & Conditions:
• Minimum of 2 adults is required for a 4D / 3N or longer stay.
• Additional boat transfer of RM600 will be charged if the above requirement is not meet.
• Single supplement fee of 50% on top of the above rates apply and additional boat boat charter to be charged for single booking / staying.
• Guests who wish to extend their stay while at the resort are required to settle the full payment for their extension stay charges upon check-out.
• A surcharge of 10% is applicable for the month of August for all markets. Surcharge shall be waived for walk in bookings whereby guests are required to check-in within 5 days after booking is made. Subject to room availability.

Other Terms & Conditions:
• Normal Diving package is inclusive of 3 boat dives at Mataking . Pandanan / Bohoyan and unlimited house reef diving with weights, weight belts, tanks and guide provided. Equipment rental not included.
• Diver package A includes 3 daily boat dives at Mataking . Pandanan / Bohoyan & Unlimited shore dives with tanks, weights / weight belt and experienced guide provided. However, for a group of 6 pax and above (Diver package A) and staying for a minimum of 5D / 4N trip is entitled to a FREE day diving trip to Sipadan but excluding Government Levy of RM40 / pax. Equipment rental not included.
• Diver package A + Night Dive is inclusive of the 3 boat dives per day, unlimited shore dives & 2 Guided Night Divers. Divers must show proof of past experiences in night dives or posses Advance Open Water Certificate.
• Diver package B shall include an additional Boat day trip to Sipadan which shall be scheduled on every Wednesday or Saturday only. Excluding government levy of RM40 / person. Subjects to good weather.
• Honeymooner package is inclusive of 1 cake, 1 bottle of champagne, 1 x 90 minutes massage session for the couple and Honeymoon Room decoration.
• Spa package is inclusive of 2 x 90 minutes session of Rejuvenation & Relaxing massage and one Royal Mataking Spa Package (consist of 150 minutes session of Traditional Body Scrub, bath and massage) per person.
• Additional dive trip to Sipadan is charged at RM800 per return trip, excluding Government levy of RM40 / person. Sipadan trips are subject to weather conditions.

Pulau Mataking is situated on Mataking, an island not far from Sipadan. Located to the north of Mabul, Mataking is three times the size of Sipadan and is only a 40 minute boat ride away from Semporna on the mainland. The size of the island is about 40 acres.

The Reef Dive Resort

The Reef Dive Resort is the latest addition to the many diving sites in Sabah. It is the newest and hottest dive spot in the Celebes Sea, located just 40 minutes from Semporna, a fishing town at east coast of the state of Sabah, Malaysia.

The resort provide luxurious accommodation to the enchanting undersea world of Mataking Island. The Alice Channel which is about 100 meters deep connecting Mataking to Sipadan Island just 60 minutes boat ride away. This explains why Mataking is just as fascinating as famed Sipadan Island.

The Dive Centre

Manned by experience dive professionals the dive centre comes fully equipped with individual lockers, drying areas for your BCDs, regulator, wet suits, mask and fins. Towels are also provided so you needn't bother bringing one from your room.

• No decompression dive or exit the recreational diving limit (in terms of time & depth)
• Minimum one hour surface interval between dives
• No riding on turtles

Life on Land

Back on land, the night life can be exciting watching fire flies. Green and Hawksbill turtles come up to lay their eggs in the sands of Mataking Island. During the day, bask on the snow white sandy beach and enjoy the sight of the island’s coconut crab scurrying up a tree. You can also take a walk while listening to the bird’s singing in exotic garden. If you prefer a bird’s eye view of Mataking, climb up the King’s Watchtower and enjoy the breathtaking sight.

If you are more adventurous, grab a few friends and explore the lushness of the tropical island vegetation or have some fun playing beach volleyball & beach soccer. You can also take the chance to re-enact Moses’ miraculous crossing of the Red sea by taking a stroll down the 1km sandbar that connects Mataking and Mataking Kecil at low tide. The water literally split into half and you don’t even have to wave your hands! Mother Nature does it all for you.

Under the Sea

When the crystal turquoise waters of Mataking beckons, it is an offer that cannot be refused. Suit up and explore the 30 or so dive sites in and around Mataking and the surrounding islands of Pandanan, Bohayan and Buhai Dulang. Swim along with the barracuda, rainbow runner, turtles, trevallys, tuna, goby, frog fish, mandarin fish and other rare species of fish. Be awestruck by the varied species of nudibranch and other macro that have made the western reef their home. Head over to the Alice Channel on the eastern shore which stretches across to Sipadan Island, offering just as much exhilarating sea creatures.

The D'wall, Nudibranch Heaven, Barracuda Point and Picturesque Reef are some of the diving sites that should be on every diver’s list. If you would rather stay nearer to shore, grab your snorkeling mask and swim with the fishes there. The marine life close to shore is just as magnificent as those found in the deep end.

Resorters' Program

The Reef Dive Resort knows that not everyone who visits Mataking is a diver. They understand that sometimes, you may want to bring the off spring along and that you don't want to worry about them. Thus, they have an extensive program for the non diver and for children. The non diver package includes one free boat snorkel trip per day and one free snorkeling lesson. Other Resorter activities can also be arranged with the Resort Activity Coordinator.

Pulau Mataking Packages Terms & Conditions

• Anything less than the above minimum pax, an additional boat charter of USD 135 is to be imposed.
• The package includes all meals, relevant sea / land transfer from Tawau Airport to the resort, accommodation with air conditioning, hot shower / fresh water and attached bathroom & sundeck. Complimentary use of Jacuzzi.
• Diver Package A is includes 3 daily boat dives at Mataking / Pandanan / Bohayan & Unlimited Beach. Dive, tanks, weights / weight belt and experienced guide provided. However, for group size booking of 6 pax or more (Diver Package A) and staying for minimum 4N/5D is entitled to a day trip to Sipadan (FOC) and not including Government Levy (USD 11/pax).
• Diver Package A + Night Dive is inclusive of the above (III) plus 2 Guided Night Dives.
• Diver Package B shall include an additional boat day trip to Sipadan which shall be scheduled on every Wednesday & Saturday only.
• Honeymooner Package is inclusive of 1 cake, 1 bottle of champagne, 1 x 90 minutes session for the couple and Honeymoon Room decoration.
• Spa Package is inclusive of 2 x 90 minutes sessions of Rejuvenation & Relaxing massage and 1 session of 150 minutes Traditional Body scrub, bath and massage per person.
• Additional dive trip to Sipadan is charged USD 160 per return boat trip plus government levy (USD 11/pax). Sipadan trips are also subject to weather condition.
• For reservation, it can be made by phone or in writing either by facsimile or preferably Email. Once a booking for a space is made, a 10% reservation fee from the total package price must be paid within 7 days after the initial booking, otherwise it will automatically be made available for resale. The fees are not refundable and full payments have to be settled 30 days before the date of arrival.
• Payment can also be made either by telegraphic transfer or by Credit Card with an authorized letter.
• For any last minute cancellation, delay and change of arrangement made by the customer (less than 48 hours before arrival time as per schedule), the company shall not be held responsible and reserve the rights to change to the customer for additional costs rendered.
• A surcharge of 10% is applicable for the period of August.
