0725hrs:
(No Meal) Pick up from your hotel and transfer
to the Tanjung Aru train station. Board the diesel train
bound for Papar. This is a local train with no class specification
and no air conditioning, just balmy breezes blowing through
the windows. Feel free to walk around the carriages and
mingle with the local people on their way home to the interior
towns of Beaufort and Tenom or just enjoy the scenery along
the way. The Train ride will take about one and half hours
passing through native villages, rubber plantations, rice
fields and along the coast of the South China Sea to Papar
town. A short stop in town to quench your thirst before
returning to Kota Kinabalu by road. |
