Danum
Valley
One of the last remaining,
virgin (undisturbed) lowland dipteropcarp forest in Borneo.
With an area of 438sq km, Danum Valley was set by Sabah
Foundation for the purpose of research, education, training
and wilderness recreation. It is the biggest protected area
for conservation, which support some of the endangered species
of wildlife and home to more than 275 species of birds (incl.
all 08 species-Borneo Hornbill). |
