One Passenger One Piece Of Hand Luggage Rule
Beginning Aug 1, airlines in Malaysia will enforce the "One passenger one piece of hand luggage" rule for all flights. Bag have to measure 56cm by 36cm by 23cm. The rule applies to all passengers, except for first and business class passengers are allowed to bring an extra piece of hand luggage with same size restriction.
How Rule Is Enforced?

> When entering the airport:
> - Passenger should check if their hand luggage is not oversized.

> At the check-in counter:
> - Staff will check your hand luggage.
> - If oversized or there is more than one piece of luggage, it will have to be checked-in.

> At the boarding pass checkpoint:
> - Security officer will check hand luggage.
> - If oversized, they will ask the passenger to return to the check-in counter.

> At the boarding gate:
> - Staff will check hand luggage of boarding passengers.
> - If oversized or overweight, they will take the luggage away and return it at the end of the flight.

 Where To Check Hand Luggage Size?

- Hand luggage gauges are located at each check-in row and before the boarding pass check-point.

Besides the one piece of allowable hand luggage, the following items can be carried:
- One ladies handbag.
- Collapsible baby stroller.
- Reading material.
- Laptop.
- Overcoat.
- Camera.
- Infant food basket.
- Shopping bags for goods purchased at airports.
- Crutches / walking stick.

** All other items will require special exemption.
