Tour Description
Day 1>>
0600hrs:
Sandakan-Selingan Island (Lunch/Dinner) Pick up and transfer from Kota Kinabalu city hotel to Kota Kinabalu International airport for flight to Sandakan.

0700hrs - 0740hrs:
Bki/Sdk Etd/Eta MH2042. Arrived Sandakan airport, meet and greet. Pick up and drop off Sim Sim Water Village or Sandakan Central Market to browse around and observe the local market scene. Proceed to jetty for about 1 hour boat ride to Selingan Island. Arrived, register and check in into chalet. After lunch cafeteria, free own leisure or opt for swimming and snorkelling.

Evening:

After dinner, wait for the ranger's call to observe turtle laying eggs at the shore and transfer the eggs to the hatchery. If there are any young turtle hatchlings, an opportunity to witness its release to the sea. Overnight in chalet with common or attached bathroom.

Day 2>>

0700hrs:

Selingan Island-Sukau (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) Board boat to Sandakan jetty for pick up to Sim Sim Water Village for breakfast. Continue journey overland about 2 hours to Sukau passing by Oil palm plantations and villages. En-route stop by for a visit at Gomantong Birdnest Cave. Here, take a 15 minutes walk through a plank walk leading to the cave. Explore this one of Sabah's fascinating cave, a home to millions of Bats and Swiflets. The swiflets's nest are collected for the famous Chinese edible birdnest soup. Continue for ? hours overland reaching Sukau river lodge. Check in, lunch and rest at own leisure.

1600hrs - 1800hrs:
Late afternoon, river cruise up the famous Kinabatangan river and to its adjacent Menanggul river in search for wildlife and the notably Proboscis monkeys. Return to lodge for shower and dinner.


Evening:
Free leisure. Overnight at Kinabatangan riverside lodge.

 
Day 3 >>
0700hrs:

Sukau-Sepilok-Sandakan (Breakfast/Lunch) After breakfast, depart overland from Sukau to Sandakan for Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation center. Arrived, register and walk through the tropical lowland Dipterocarp rainforest of Borneo to platform A.

1000hrs aprx:
Witness the feeding of the Orang Utans at this platform by the rangers. Here, you can experience a close encounter with this 'Wildman of Borneo'. Proceed to the Visitors Information Center to view the displays and exhibits on the center's activities. Next watch a 20 minutes video documentary show which will give you an insight of the rehabilitation process and its threat to survival.

1115hrs:
Approximately depart to Sandakan town for lunch then City tour with visits to the Rotary Observation Pavillion for a bird's eye view of Sandakan town. Proceed on to Kampung Buli Sim Sim, a Malay Fishing Water Village where houses are built on stilts. Continue for Puu Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple offering panoramic view of Sandakan Bay ends your City tour. Transfer to Sandakan airport for flight to Kota Kinabalu.

1725hrs - 1805hrs:
Sdk/Bki Etd/Eta MH2065. Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu International airport, meet and greet for transfer to hotel.


1840hrs aprx:
Arrived at your hotel.
