Sepilok Set-up with the purposed of protecting the great ape “Orang-utans”. Widely known as Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary; it was given the credit as one of the most successful rehabilitation centre. The place which covered with virgin (undisturbed) rainforest is also home to some of the magnificent bird life.

Sukau
Situated in the areas of lower Kinabatangan river, the longest and most complex river in Sabah. Natural habitat which consist of freshwater swamp forest and lowland forest - the most diverse concentrations of wildlife in Borneo; many rare and endangered animals are found here, such as the fascinating Proboscis monkey, Asian elephant and the wild Orang-utan. Based on the previous survey, there are more than 198 bird species (recorded) in Kinabatangan river - some (species) of the water birds is believed have completely disappeared from wetlands in Peninsular Malaysia.

AM. Pick up from Hotel (Kota Kinabalu) to Airport (0530hrs) for flight to Sandakan MH2042/0700hrs.
Proceed (30min.) to Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary.

AM. Proceed overland (02hrs) for Sukau - Kinabatangan River.
En-route visit to Gomantong “bird nest” Cave.

AM - PM. River cruise/Birding.
