Day
01 Selingan Turtle Islands Park
Meet at Hotel Lobby at 0915 hrs or Sandakan Airport (MH2042
ETA 0740hrs). Transfer to jetty for boat ride to
Selingan Turtle
Islands Park.
The
journey to Island will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
Upon arrival, register at Turtle Island Parks HQ and check into
chalet. After lunch at cafeteria, free at own leisure eg. swimming
or snorkeling. After dinner, wait for rangers call to observe
turtle laying eggs. Transfer the eggs to the hatchery and if
there are young turtle hatchlings, an opportunity to observe
the release of baby turtles to the open sea. Overnight at Chalet
(Common or Attached Bathroom). ( Lunch / Dinner )
Day 02
Sepilok Orang Utan Tour
0700
am depart island to Sandakan. After breakfast, proceed in
an air-conditioned vehicle to Sepilok
Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center.
At this center, observe man’s closest relative "the Orang
Utan" being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural
habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp
Forest of Borneo. Witness the feeding of the Orang Utan at
the feeding platform. Return to Sandakan for a visit
to the Water Village to see houses on stilt above water occupied
by native tribes, visit Observation Pavilion and the Central
Market Drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple,
which offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan Bay. Transfer
to the Airport (MH2065 ETD 1730) or Hotel. (Breakfast
/ Lunch)
