Rooms

The main Resort offers guests a choice of three suites and four different villa styles. The villas are all designed to accommodate two guests. Every villa and suite features spacious interiors, luxurious fabrics, and private balconies with cushioned deck chairs. Ensuite bathrooms have large vanities, and, depending on the villa, a separate shower and oversized tub in a private outdoor courtyard or with large windows opening out onto the tropical gardens or sea. All villas have thermostat controlled air-conditioning, king-size bed, writing desk, an electronic safe, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer, refrigerator and coffee and tea making facilities. Additionally, there is a CD-player with a large selection of music available from the Library.

Suria and Purnama Suites

Both the Suria and Purnama Suites stand on stilts over the sea and feature an entrance hall, separate bedroom and elegant lounge, balconies for sunbathing, and a spacious bathroom with windows that offer beautiful views of the sea from the oversized bathtub.

Sea Villas

Standing elegantly on stilts over the sea and linked by wooden walkways, these villas are the signature feature of the island. Each private villa is airy and spacious, has a large balcony with deck chairs and a bathroom with an oversized tub that opens onto the sea.

Garden Villas

Set amidst the lush tropical gardens of the Resort, these are housed in double-storey units. The villas on the ground floor have a huge bathtub in a private courtyard while the bathrooms in the villas on the first floor open out to a view of the surrounding rainforest. Those who have children travelling with them may opt for the Family Plan Villas. These are two ground floor villas connected from the inside, thus providing your family with convenient access to each villa.

Pavarotti Suite

Named after the world-renowned tenor who fell in love with Pangkor Laut, this is an elegant one-bedroom suite set high on the hill in the rainforest. It has a spacious and luxurious lounge area, an extensive balcony with breathtaking views of the sea and tropical rainforest, and an enormous open-roofed bathroom. With the option of adding on two adjacent hill villas, this suite is ideal for large families and business executives who require extra room, privacy and separate accommodations.

Beach Villas

Located just steps away from the white sandy beach, these villas have a breathtaking view of the sea. The bungalows feature a private balcony with deck chairs, a large bathroom with a separate shower and a huge bathtub in a private outdoor courtyard.

Hill Villas

Perched dramatically on the hillside amidst the rainforest, these villas have a magnificent view of the sea and the Resort's beautiful tropical gardens. Housed in double-storey units, the villas on the ground floor feature a huge bathtub in a private open courtyard while the bathrooms in the villas on the first floor open out to the rainforest.

Spa Village

The newest addition to Pangkor Laut Resort (Pulau Pangkor), the luxurious Spa Village, is now open. The Spa Village is a unique retreat that extols the healing cultures of the region and offers a respite from the rest of the world. Malaysia, with its diverse history of people and cultures, and a vast abundance of natural resources, provides the backdrop for our health rituals that are amongst the oldest in the world. The abundance of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Thai practices makes this the ideal setting for complete rejuvenation.

The Spa Village is a collection of low buildings and structures, featuring both indoor and open-air spaces, spread over 4 acres on a quiet bay between the sea and the rainforest. Designed to soothe and refresh the senses, the various buildings face the sea, and are interspersed with open courtyards, lotus ponds, a herb garden, and a reflexology path.

The complex comprises eight treatment pavilions, a deluxe Belian Treatment Pavilion, "Healing Huts," which include Chinese herbal, Ayurvedic and Malay Huts, a "Wrap House", where the menu changes daily with Ayurvedic Herbal, Seaweed and Chinese Herbal Wraps, 2 Bath Houses, 3 Thai Pavilions, 3 Nap Gazebos, a Herbal Garden, a 50 metre lap pool, Fisherman�s Cove Restaurant, Jamu Bar, Library and Spa Boutique. 22 brand new Spa Villas situated over the sea offer direct access to the Spa Village.

Programmes combine physical and spiritual health and well being, and are based on one of four umbrella concepts: Rejuvenation and Longevity, Relaxation and Stress Reduction, Detoxification, and Romance.

Your treatment at the Spa Village will begin with the unique Bath House Ritual, representing various bathing traditions from around Asia. This starts with a foot bath and an invigorating Chinese Foot Pounding, previously only enjoyed by the concubines of feudal China. From there you will be escorted to the Bath Houses to enjoy the traditional Malay �circulating� bath, from when villagers bathed in streams or rivers, and a Japanese-style cleansing with a �goshi-goshi�� cloth, followed by a dip in the heated Rotenburu pool. Our professional spa staff will then refresh your senses with our signature Shanghai Scrub, gently exfoliating and washing your body in our private scrub house. In Shanghai, this is traditionally offered exclusively to males. After your scrub, enjoy a cup of calming tea in our tranquil surroundings before you begin your spa treatment. We recommend you allow forty-five minutes before your treatment to enjoy our Spa Village facilities.
