Other Attractions in Kuantan
 
- The State Mosque, with its distintive dome and minarets in a pastel shade of sky blue and mint green, stands regal in the middle of the town. It is a prominent landmark to all visitors coming into the town.
- Nearby, in stark architectural contrast are the Kuantan Parade, Kuantan Megamall and Teruntum Complex, three modern shopping and and office complexes.
- The colonial-styled Courthouse, the post office and other building, all add a lovely contrast to the many new buildings sprouting around them.
 
 
- A tour of the town will take visitors to the Cultural Centre at Jalan Telok Sisek where cultural performances are held every weekend, The Tourist Information Centre at Jalan Mahkota, and batik factory at Jalan Putih.
- There also an Esplanade where tourists can enjoy the scenic Kuantan riverview with its vast mangrove reserve in the oposite bank and a busy jetty on the other.
- In the far distance and yet visible is the fishing village of Tanjung Lumpur. There are eating stalls famous for their 'ikan bakar' (grilled fish), a not to be missed fare when visiting Kuantan.
- For nature's lover, Sg Lembing is the best place to offer. The town that time forgot can fascinate you by it historical stories of the biggest tin mine in the early 1900, and nearby nature attractions such as waterfall, caves etc.
 
Nature & Adventure Attractions
Sungai Lembing Town
Sungai Lembing is a small hamlet in the hills, approximately 45 kilometres northwest of Kuantan. It is now a quiet settlement of a bygone era, but visitors could still catch a glimpse of its past glories.
Today one can still witness the remnants of this wonderful era- its tree-lined town square, the solitary letter box of the British era, a four- wheel coach that once was a pride of the town, and a restaurant, which was a favourite haunt to the tin miners.

Sungai Lembing Museum
The Sungai Lembing Mining Museum was recently built to record the history of the tin mining operations. Artifacts and equipmqnt used by workers in this biggest underground tin mine can be seen at the museum.It is open to the public during office hours.

 

Hanging Bridge
There are few hanging bridge in Sg Lembing and it is usually crossing the river. One of the famous hanging bridge there is Kolong Pahat Hanging Bridge which is the oldest one. Although all the bridge is not very long but it just enough to give a wonderful experience of crossing the hanging bridge especially if it for the first timer.

 

Panorama Hill
Today, the center of attractions in Sungai Lembing must be a Panorama Hill, where visitors can watch either sunrise or sunset at both ends of the day. This 400-metres hillock have a flight of concrete steps that takes between 45 minutes to an hour to ascend. The nature lover will be really fascinated by its beautiful view from the top of the hill.

Hot Spring
The health concious would obviously prefer the natural hot springs. Located at Sg Jin and about 300-metres from the Deer Farm. Visitors can camp and picnic nearby the hot spring pool.

Sungai Jin's Deer Farm
Sungai Jin's Deer Farm located about 50KM from Kuantan town and about 5KM from Sungai Lembing town. These deer originally was brought from Mauritius and Australia. The facilities provided here include 'menara pandang' with 25 feet height for visitor to see each movement of the deer. There're also a travis to keep the tame deer for visitor to play and watch them.
 

Sg Mas Aboriginal Settlement
This Aboriginal Settlement is situated 3KM from the Deer Farm. Visitor can do activities such as blow piping or visit the bamboo house.

 
Gunung Tapis Park
Gunung Tapis Park is about 16km away from Sg Lembing. It provides excellent opportunities for the more adventurous to shoot the rapids on rafts. Trek to The Rainbow Fall/ Tapis Waterfall is about 1 to 1.25 hours walk with a crossing of a 15-metres wide river up to knee level at the start. Rainbow Water is probably the most beautiful waterfall in Malaysia.

Charas Cave
The Charas Cave complex, about 25km away from Kuantan is hidden in the hills surrounded by the Panching Plantations. About 1,000-metre above sea level, the complex is believed to be a site of early human settlement that dates back to prehistoric times.
