Lang
Dataran Lang (Eagle Square) is strategically located next

square features a magnificent statue of a reddish brown
eagle, besides scenic ponds, bridges and covered terraces.
It was
said that Langkawi derived its name from 'helang', the Malay
word for eagle, and 'kawi' which means reddish brown colour.
