Pulau Langkawi
Lying between the Straits of Melaka and Andaman Sea near the border with Thailand, Pulau Langkawi is the biggest of 99 islands off the northwestern coast of Kedah. The island's breathtaking beauty - pristine beaches, crystal clear sea water, a mesmerising sunset and above all, the bewitching legends that have given the island its magical lure - has made it a perfect destination for nature lovers.
 
Pulau Payar
South of Pulau Langkawi, the scenic island of Pulau Payar is a must-go for snorkelling buffs. The island, as well as the adjacent Pulau Segantang, Pulau Kaca and Pulau Lembu have been gazetted a marine park since 1985.
 
Air Hangat Village
Located about 14km northwest of Kuah, the 4-acre Air Hangat (Hot Spring) Village is a modern complex comprising a 3-tier hot spring fountain and an 18-metre handcarved riverstone mural. Visitors can witness the making of local handicrafts and cultural performances there.
 
Craft Cultural Complex
Located on the north coast of Langkawi about 45 minutes from Kuah, the magnificent Craft Cultural Complex showcases a wide range of Malaysian handicraft such as batik and silverware.
 
Dataran Lang
Dataran Lang (Eagle Square) is strategically located next to the Kuah jetty and is a prominent landmark for visitors arriving by sea.

The square features a magnificent statue of a reddish brown eagle, besides scenic ponds, bridges and covered terraces.

It was said that Langkawi derived its name from 'helang', the Malay word for eagle, and 'kawi' which means reddish brown colour.

 
Galeri Perdana
About 11km from Kuah, the beautifully landscaped double-storey Galeria Perdana houses an impressive collection of over 2,500 state gifts and awards presented to the Malaysian Prime Minister and his wife, including fine crystal ware, musical instruments, weapons and gifts fashioned out of wood, leather, silver, etc.
 
Gua Cherita
A short journey by boat from Tanjung Rhu, Gua Cherita (Cave of Legends) is steeped in legends as the name suggests. Ancient writing which has yet to be deciphered can be seen on the walls of the cave.
 
Kampung Buku Malaysia
The first and only book village in Southeast Asia, Kampung Buku Malaysia offers book lovers a tranquil setting to indulge in their hobby. The various houses in the village are stocked with a great variety of new books on numerous topics and languages, as well as second hand, rare and antiquarian books.

Located at Cenang, Laman Padi Langkawi is the latest attraction not to be missed by agrotourism lovers.

The complex showcases the history, heritage and development of the nation's rice growing industry. There is also a restaurant offering popular traditional Malay food using rice as the main ingredient.

 
Langkawi Crystaal
Langkawi Crystaal offers an attractive and exquisite range of skilfully crafted glass and crystal ware. Visitors will also be able to witness how the craftsmen blow the glass here.
 
Langkawi Yatch Club
The Langkawi Yacht Club near Kuah jetty comprises a beautiful clubhouse and a marina with 51 berths that can accommodate a variety of vessels.

The club also offers other facilities such as a waterfront swimming pool, deep-sea fishing, scuba diving,etc.

 
Under Water Langkawi
The Underwater World Langkawi at Pantai Cenang showcases a rich variety of fresh and salt water fish as well as other forms of marine life.

Visitors can walk through a 15-metre glass tunnel and enjoy a spectacular view of the marine exhibits.
