the 27-storey Awana Tower Hotel, a 304-room
tower that gives guests an extensive view
of the lovely 18-hole golf course and beyond.
At the resort the cool, refreshing and soothing
mountain air makes it a pleasure to play a
round of golf at the PGA-standard Awana Golf
Course which is listed as one of the world’s
top 100 golf courses and one of the best in
the region.
Awarded the ‘most scenic golf course’ in Malaysia
for the years 1995, 1997 and 1998 by the Malaysian
PGA, it is a ‘must’ for any golfer to experience
the challenge of this Ronald Fream-designed
championship layout. |
While
you enjoy the pleasures of golf amidst the cool breeze
from the mountains, you will not help but take in
panoramic views of the surrounding - whether you on
elevated tee-boxes looking down at the undulating
fairways set along deep ravines or at the ever-so-fresh
greens that are guarded by bunkers and the primary
forest beyond. Tee-boxes are turfed with Serangoon
grass while the fairways which are bordered by pine
trees and covered with cowgrass. And at Awana’s fast
Bent-grass greens, you will find out a thing or two
to add to your putting skills.
There
is also facilities for mini-golf. And for
those of you who prefer a more relaxed game
from the real thing, try out the 18-hole par-50
160-metre golf course - the first of its kind
in the country. It is open to all age groups
and you will only need plenty of enthusiasm.
Mini-golf is truly one sure way to achieve
relaxation and fun with all of the family.

you are so used to paying in the humid lowlands.

you can go horse riding at the ranch which is
open to public or do other sporting activities
like tennis, squash and badminton or simply
relax in the swimming pool and jacuzzi or just
to bird watching. While the ever tempting Genting
Theme Park is just 11 minutes away.
The resort is accessible by road and the journey
is smooth and picturesque. From the north travel
via Tanjung Malim and Batang Kali to the resort.
From Kuala Lumpur head towards Batu Caves and
then get onto the Karak Highway and head for
the resort and likewise if you coming from the
east (Kuantan) use the same Highway route. Visitors
from the south can use the Sungei Besi Highway
and follows the signs towards Genting Highlands.
